Book Your Session

Bookings are only made online. Before you do so (at the bottom of the page), please read and understand the following items, as YOUR USE OF THE BOOKING SYSTEM IS YOUR AGREEMENT TO THESE TERMS.

This page was last updated 2020 May 18.

Policy Protocol

If you are ill, at risk, or unduly afraid for any reason, please do not book a session! No amount of hygiene or protection can guarantee that you will never catch a communicable disease or be injured. However, with my standard and enhanced policy and hygiene protocols, you are certainly going to be safer in a treatment with me than you will be by going shopping. My MAT(E)™ modality is provided with the patient's clothes on, minimizing skin to skin contact, if that is an issue for you. My treatments are characterized by the use of slow, gentle, intentional, and pain-free techniques, ensuring that potential injuries are extremely unlikely.

Direct Billing

If you have massage insurance, I am happy to direct bill as much of your session as they will accept. Note that you are still responsible for paying the full amount of your session, whether or not your insurance company accepts or (even in the future) declines to pay.

At this time, I can handle direct billing for Alberta Blue Cross and for any insurance company that uses telus eClaims - click the link and scroll to "Learn more about the eClaims service" and click on that - it will display images for the insurance companies they broker for.

Although I do not have arrangements with other insurance companies, in Alberta, they must still accept your valid receipts for reimbursement according to the policy you have with them.

Payments

I accept the following payments:

CASH - Exact change only

CHEQUE - From the account of the person receiving treatment

DEBIT - Directly from your bank account - by Square Up

CHARGE - Most cards are accepted - See Square Up for details

Session Pricing

Please note that it is not my intent to compete with Commodity Massage Therapists. My practice is specialized in nature, designed and intended to provide the best path possible for dealing with Chronic Pain, Injury Rehab, Stress, Mobility, Posture, Work/Sport Performance Issues, Management of Specific Conditions, Corporate Wellness, and more. This is reflected in the pricing, as I am providing more value.

Although I have training and experience with a variety of tools, I find they are not needed to get results. (I do not own hot stones - Always a risk of hitting bone with stone, or burning. I have silicone cups for myofascial cupping - I leave no marks, which indicate damage. I have instruments for IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation), otherwise known as Gua Sha and Graston Technique; again, I leave no marks, which indicate damage. I have tape for K-Taping, which tends to be too expensive to be practical, especially since it doesn't usually last long. Possible exception for pre-natal belly slings.)

Some of the services listed below are not found as options in the booking software. These are marked with a double asterisk (**). If you want one of these services, you will need to enquire directly with me ([email protected]).

What You are Booking and Paying For

Mine is essentially a time based service. When you book a session time, you are asking me to set aside my time and resources for that period, for your use, which I have to pay for. THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR. It does not matter whether you show up on time and get a full treatment, show up late and get a partial treatment, or do not show up at all and get no treatment.

It is not about the treatment. It is about me respecting your booking request by setting aside the time and resources, and you respecting that by paying for them.

It is customary to not make changes to a session booking with less than 24 hours notice. Changes with appropriate notice will be honored.

Note that if you do not get a treatment, none of that session can be submitted for massage insurance purposes. (Also, certain spa treatments do not qualify, either.)

Note that any outstanding payments will result in no further treatments until all past sessions are paid for.
